We are reminded everyday of the importance of being proud of who we are as we see the many advances our community has made. As a result, RI Pride is committed to make as much of an impact by creating programs, events and services that benefit all who participate. It also serves as an educational tool for the world around us.
As we enter the 32nd year of Pride's work, many individuals are reflecting on how they can have a great part in the community. The summer Pride events provide the opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the richness and diversity of our ever growing movement. The year-round programs give us an opportunity to grow, laugh, network and celebrate our diverse community. We recognize that there is much work to be done for full equality and the need to support organization working to fulfill that goal.
RI Pride receives no federal grants, or subsidies but depends primarily on contributions from individuals and businesses through direct giving, sponsorships, and event admissions. No amount of donation is too small. The board and volunteers of RI Pride hope that individuals inRhode Island Southern New England will make a donation to support the work being done to promote equal rights, educate the community about GLBT issues, and provide safe opportunities and venues for people to celebrate who they are.
